This is My Story
There was a time in my life when it looked from the outside like I had it all. Mom, Wife, Successful Business Owner, friends, opportunities…but something was missing. I couldn’t figure it out until one day when my coach at the time asked me what I did for fun and I honestly couldn’t think of a single thing. I used to paint, do creative writing, write music, hike, ride horses…and I had set that all aside for all the other “stuff” in my life. I was working 20 hour days 7 days a week, I never went anywhere or did anything fun. I didn’t have any time for my creative pursuits and forget healthy eating and working out. I was lucky if I ate one meal a day that my husband or son would put in front of my computer and my work out was walking downstairs for more coffee. Not my best moments by a long shot. When I realized that I needed to spend more quality time with my family and enjoy my life more I made the conscious decision to take a 2 week vacation that I would NOT be working during. So I did and I had an awesome time and relaxed and slept and spent quality time with my family and lost the stressed out go, go, go mode I had been in. Then when I got back the universe decided that it was time for me to move on from the past miserable status I had been in. Through a twist of fate, my workload suddenly lightened and I realized that it was time to go into a field that I loved. Health and Wellness. I had been on my own wellness journey for about 10 years. I had learned what I needed to be healthy in mind, body and spirit and it was time that I got back to that as well as pursue my passion to help others on their own journey. I signed up for Health Coach School and was insanely excited and totally scared. And that was a good thing. Change is good and sometimes scary and what I have learned over the years is that when you follow your heart, trust and have faith, and work hard to get what you want by putting action steps into place to move forward, it all falls together. I had coached for about 8 years at this point on business growth so I wasn’t new to coaching. I got my clients amazing results but I was missing a key piece, which was the piece about health. I was working with overworked, overwhelmed, clients and I was coaching them how to have amazing success in their business (which there were as a result) but not how to keep yourself healthy and happy while reaching your business goals. So now I am in a career that I love. I still do business coaching but I am also a Certified Health Coach and am helping people to make an impact on their lives that will make their quality of life so much greater than it was before. I have a business that I love that doesn’t control my time, I spend quality time with my family, I work out daily and eat clean (for the most part;) and I love my life again. I get to see the changes for the better that my clients make in both their businesses and their health, cheer them on and share in their happiness when they finally get back the life they deserve that they too had put on hold for way too long!
