Interview with Erin Alli – FAQ – Virtual Assisting
I am so glad you are considering working with me! I have been working with entrepreneurs in all different industries for 15 years to help them grow their business, free up their time and stop doing the tasks they don’t want to do or don’t know how to do. I allow them to work in their unique brilliance without the guilt of thinking they are missing an important element of their business growth. I have expertise as a virtual assistant as well as copywriting and coaching…so that makes me a unique addition for you if we decide to work together;) I will answer any additional questions in our Get Acquainted Call but I wanted to cover the most Frequently Asked Questions that I get here as I’m sure it will answer a lot of questions ahead of time:)
“How Do I Know You Are Qualified?”
I have been a virtual assistant for 15 years. Before that I was an executive assistant. I have a wide skillset and I enhance my skills all the time. I am a continual learner of anything that interests me and I am not hesitant to share what I have learned with my clients. I want to see you have success and reach your goals and I take it upon myself to have a vast knowledge so you have the curated information you need and someone to implement and execute all the tasks needed as well as brainstorm with you for new ideas and strategies. My business has grown mostly from referrals right from the start. Some of my clients have stayed with me for 7+ years and I have helped them grow in all different stages of their business, as well as supporting them to be able to accomplish a healthy lifestyle and free up more time to spend having fun. I am reliable and confident in my skillsets. I also have resources and connections available to refer you to in the event you have a task you need done that I don’t handle myself.
“Why should I hire a Virtual Assistant in order to grow my business?”
You can’t do it all yourself. If you try to you will inevitably get overwhelmed. The other important thing to note is that you don’t know all the moving elements that go into marketing and product launches and trying to do it all alone means you will probably leave out an important piece. When we work together long term, I eventually become almost like another brain for you. I think of things, remind you of things and give you new ideas. You don’t have to do it alone.
“Do you have experience in my industry?”
I may, but it doesn’t matter either way. Why? Because when I work with you, I learn about your business and gather all types of information so that I can help you to grow it in the best way. I look for what will make you stand out from your competitors. I put in the time to get to know you, your business, your industry and what is working and not working to get you results.
“What Makes You Different From Other Virtual Assistants?”
I like to get to know my clients and build a relationship. I care about my clients and what is going on in their life as well as their business. I will only work with clients that I enjoy and can have fun with. I feel that when you hire a virtual assistant you should have a partner, not a task person. What I mean by this is that I don’t just take a task, do it, hand it back to you and wait for the next one. I am always looking out for you and your business. I suggest new strategies, I make sure all the elements are in place that you need working and if you are missing something I always let you know what else you need to put in place to have a successful outcome. I don’t just leave your business on the side burner when I don’t have a task at hand for you. I am always thinking of my clients and sharing what I learn that may help them. I am checking your stats and seeing how things are going. I am suggesting changes or tweaks to elements to make them perform better. I am not only a VA but also a coach and a friend.
“You are a Copywriter and a Coach too? Could You Just Not Decide What You Wanted to be When You Grew Up?”
I am a multi-talented entrepreneur. What I have found over the years is that I love learning new things and when I learn elements that can help me in my business or life I love to share as well. I don’t just dabble in all these. I have taken the time to really learn my arts.
I have been a VA for 15 years and I learn new programs regularly and keep up to date on the marketing aspects. I read a book a week that helps me to grow.
I wanted to learn more about how to lead a healthy lifestyle because I believe that is super important to business growth (since if you don’t have your health you are not going to get very far in your business at the rate you want to) so I took the time to learn all I could and I am a certified Health Coach through HCI. My specialty area is brain and gut health.
I have loved writing since I was a child and have studied all elements of creative writing and then took the time to really dig in and learn my craft. I am a certified writer with both AWAI and the Children’s Institute of Literature.
The reason you want to work with me is that I have taken the time to learn, I continue to learn and I share as well. I have experience, talent, and a stellar background and reputation.
“Who Do You Work Best With?”
I work best with clients that are open to ideas and suggestions. I work best with clients that understand the importance of good communication and can get me the information I need from them in a timely fashion so that I can move forward on my end to ensure any deadlines are met. I am always open to feedback and questions. I feel that if we don’t openly communicate things can’t improve and results won’t be what they should be. I always choose to work with clients that I can have fun with and that I can grow with. I get a lot of referrals but I don’t take on everyone. I am very choosy about who I work with so that we both have a wonderful experience and you get the results you are looking for.
“What Results Can I Expect?”
It all depends on what type of project we are working on. I will always make sure you are happy with the finished product for any tasks I do. I want you to be proud of what is going out in the world as your message and representation of you and your business. Results will depend on you as well. I don’t guarantee any specific results but I do promise that you are getting great work that you will be happy to share in the end with your audience. It will be up to your standards and what you are looking for.
“Do You Work Weekends?”
I don’t typically work weekends as that is my time with my family BUT when you are a client of mine, I am open to it if you request ahead of time (for instance to get a launch ready or tighten things up for an event or speaking gig). I also will respond if you have a quick question and send me a text on a weekend. I know as an entrepreneur you work on weekends sometimes so if I am available I am happy to help if needed.
“Why a 6 month Commitment?”
I used to run my business as a month to month. What I found was that it was harder to get to know my client’s businesses when they were on again off again with tasks here and there. I also know that you won’t get results overnight in your marketing and you can’t speed through a product launch and hope for the best. So I changed the way I work. I get to know you on our Get Acquainted Call and am usually pretty spot on if we will be a good fit to work together. If I don’t think we are (or you don’t think we are) I am happy to give you a referral to someone else. If we decide to work together, 6 months gives us time to get to know each other, learn how to work together best, get more accomplished toward your goals and grow and strategize together to get you the results you desire. At the end of 6 months you can sign on for another 6 month term (what most clients do) or if you want to go in a different direction you are welcome to do that and I will always wish you the best.
